Yesterday was a whole lot of fun. I miraculously failed to be incredibly shy and neurotic around new people, which is always a good thing.

Other than a slight panic when I worried that I'd underestimated the time it would take to walk to Canterbury West station, the trains out were really quite painless. Change at Tonbridge, read a few chapters of my book, listen to a few random people chatting about languages, and arrive at Horsham on time.

So I wonder around Horsham station for a while, searching for sath and chess who were meant to have been there waiting for me, and they were nowhere to be found. So I tried phoning Sath, and there was no answer. So I sent a text messog: "Where are you?", sighed a little and wondered around a bit more. And there they were! Much hugging ensued, which seemed to annoy the ticket inspector who was wanting to see my ticket, but never mind. Apparently they'd been in the car park, which with hindsight might have been a fairly obvious place to look, since I knew they were arriving in a car. But not to worry.

Highlights of the day include:

The hedge maze with hedges so small that anyone aged 4 or over could step over them with impunity.

Killing a dragon with a stick.

Definitely not throwing Sath into a fountain.

Lying curled up on a sofa with Sath, watching Chess, dreema and marble playing Tekken with a dancemat

Practically fainting of shock at discovering the prices of sandwiches at Costa.

Slightly less good were the discovering that I'm now £3 above my overdraft limit, and the having to get a lift to Redhill and then change at Tonbridce and Ashford to get home, all the while freezing my butt off. But we'll ignore those bits, because I had a good day.
