It's not even close to a well-ordering, but varies from meal to meal.

I can't actually answer that, because the food chosen is circumstance dependant. I.e., if I'm in a rush, then convenience comes higher up the list than usual, price comes into it more depending on how much I need to buy when I've got $amount of £, ethics come below £ in times of financial difficulties (since I put the ethics of feeding my Daughter above the ethics of looking after the rest of the world. Etc.

You left out other. My ordering is: neuroses, health, taste/convenience varying.

A lot of my psych issues express themselves in my diet. There are many foods that I will not eat. I think it's a minor OCD type thing. They're not okay foods to me. But it isn't really about morality or religion or ethics or any rational concerns.

I've chosen 'taste' as number 1, but only because you've omitted "ability to eat" and that's the closest match. The vast majority of the time I chose food based on what isn't going to make me physically ill (IBS, allergies etc) and/or what isn't likely to turn out to be something I'm unable to bring myself to eat for fear of waste / offending / upsetting / provoking unwanted conversations about food from whoever I'm with.

I just realised I put ethical/moral/religious as least important, but I'm a lacto-ovo vegetarian, have been since I was 8, for ethical reasons, so it doesn't really occur to me as consideration in picking food, because I don't think of food as including meat...so yeah. It's actually number one but sort of superseeds discussion...

I think my answers say I'm an immoral and lazy hedonist.
