Religion survey
delirium happy
I'm currently seeming to be completely incapable of getting anything at all done (sorry to anyone I'm owing anything to) or writing about anything interesting, so instead, here's a random survey about religion.

Religion Definition
are you mono or polytheistic?ananthropotheistic
do you subscribe to a major religion? No, I buy them off the shelf from newsagents when I'm in the mood for them
how do you feel about Jesus?Decent bloke, but a bit naive and idealistic. Pity he got nailed to a tree for suggesting that people be nice to one another.
what holy book do you feel is most accurate (Bible, Koran, etc)Accurate in a literal sense, or accurate in the sens of the message conveyed? I rather like the message of the Principia Discordia, and that at least never claims to be literally accurate, so I'll go with that one.
do you believe in reincarnation?Only in the sense that some of my atoms used to be a part of dead people
do you believe in the traditional heaven and hell? The simple economics of supply and demand on pitchforks and harps makes it appear unlikely
do you believe in ANY heaven and/or hell?after an eternity of anything, the only emotion I can imagine anyone feeling is boredom.
do you think the god(s) are vengeful or nice? Most certainly not. Should it or they exist they are alien and strange and entirely ineffable, and it's rather pointless to try to give them human characteristics
do you believe in angels? It was a song by Robbie Williams, right?
do you believe in miracles?I believe in madrigals. And mirror-balls. And manacles. And I like the Hot Chocolate song. I wrote about my opinion of miracles just the other day though.
do you believe in predestination? All the evidence seems to suggest that God isn't a watchmaker, but a dice player.
do you believe in original sin?Another song! This time by Pandora's Box. "I've been searching for an original sin // one with a twist and a bit of a spin // but now I've done all the old ones 'til they've all been done in". It's rather a cruel concept though, when all is said and done. "Hi, yes, I'm afraid I'm going to have to judge you not on your own actions, but on those of this chick who died 8000 years ago". Talk about holding a fucking grudge.
do you believe in freedom of will?I'm undecided and leaning towards no, but I pretend that I do as a way to stop myself from going crazy. (and yes, I'm aware that I've just said I believe in neither free will nor determinacy. There's still that random, arbitrary element to contend with. Hail Eris, all hail Discordia, and all that jazz)
do you believe in souls?Sort of. A soul is an emergent property of the hugely complex biological, chemical and physical system that is a human. It isn't something mystical though, and it certainly isn't immortal
what do you think will happen to you when you die? When we die, our bodies become the grass. And the cows eat the grass, and we eat the cows. And so we are all connected in the great Circle of Life.
do you think there will be an armageddon?Matthew 5:5 Blessed are the cockroaches: for they shall inherit the Earth.
why do you think we exist?Because if we didn't exist, we wouldn't be here to ask why we exist. WE have no inate purpose: only that which we give ourselves.
do you believe in life on other planets? It seems likely.
do you believe in evolution? Why on earth would I want to do that? No point believing in things just because they exist. It gives them ideas.
do you think religion and science will always oppose the other? So long as both of them exist, there will alway be religious folks who irrationally oppose science, and scientists who irrationally oppose religion. Though it's hardly difficult to reconcile the two of them
what would you say to God if you met him/her/them today?Probably "who or what are you?" or words to that effect
anything else we should know?My opinions are subject to change at any time without prior notice

Not in this country, at any rate. :)
