On what to do when LiveJournal is down
delirium happy
There's something horribly ironic about the fact that when I have my longest streak of posting-every-day since last february, and am just about to make my 1000th entry, LiveJournal goes down for over 24 hours. But anyway, this is now my 1000th entry. Go me. Or something.

But that's not the point of this entry. The point is to say that this amuses me far too much. If LiveJournal is down for a day, what do you do? Why, you go and edit the wikipedia article about LiveJournal, of course! OK, so there aren't that many edits, but there's still a notable spike over the last couple of days. Coincidence? I think not.

Hmmm. I f that's what I presume it is, then I guess I must have deleted several entries at some point.

Yes, it's your itemid :)

I was going to ask if it was itemid, but then I recalled that I couldn't remember whether this one was jitemid or ditemid, so I didn't.

j? I think it might be j. I don't remember. :)

Wouldn't the most appropriate answer be "Neither, it's the ρitemid"?

Probably j -- IIRC the ditemid (display) for this post is '262497'.

That is pretty amusing, though I have to imagine some of those edits were simply because of the news aspect of the situation and not due to the withdrawal people were experiencing. (Okay, that's a lie, it was the withdrawal.)

My Wikipedia edit average actually went down with LiveJournal's absence. I've been letting Neopets eat my brain again as of late, so that's where I spent most of my on-line time.
