So. Very. Tired.

I have been quite stupidly tired for the past week or so. I've not actually been keeping records, but I'd guess that I'd be close to spending 2 hours in bed for every hour that I spend awake, and even when I am awake, I never really properly wake up. It's the sort of tired where doing things like taking a shower become horribly exhausting and necessitate sitting down for half an hour afterwards to recover. This is annoying.

It's the sort of weariness I tend to associate with depression but I really don't think that's it. For sure, wanting to spend 26 hours a day in bed hasn't helped my mental well-being any, but I'm still reasonably chipper, and it feels like the low mood is effect rather than cause. Oh well. Hopefully it's all just down to gremlins or sunspots or something, and I'll actually be able to stay awake more than a few hours at a time again soon.

Since I'm perma-tired, have a few random thoughts in bullet point form, since I'm not going to be able to write them all up in full.
  • The concept of the nation state is a bloody silly one, which has had its time and needs to be done away with.
  • I wish LJ had an option for disabling anonymous comments on any entry older than a month or so old.
  • God doesn't exist; there are too many logical inconsistencies otherwise.
  • People who issue death threats over LJ advisory board elections are fuckwits.
  • I think I need to be less misanthropic
  • I need a new userpic.
  • (x+1)(x-1+1) = (x+1)+(x-1+1) is a fun identity.
  • Character level in computer RPGs is an ingredient for anti-fun which game designers should get rid of.
  • Moiré patterns are nifty.
  • The more I think about it, the less polyamory appeals to me.

If this persists, you might want to consider getting checked... mono comes to mind. What you describe is actually more severe than my own problems, although the shower thing is completely familiar. I hope you feel better soon.

I don't have any of the other symptoms I'd associate with mono, though. No fever, and no swelling of lymph nodes. Just the exhaustion.

My current plan is to just ride it out a while longer and hope it goes away as randomly as it appeared before too long. If it doesn't, then I'll start thinking about trying to figure out a cause.
