Who here is on Steam? I am lowercaserho on there, and would like to add you all, so I can stalk you see what you're playing, so I can get a feel for what games my friends think are good that I might wish to buy, and can see where there are interesting opportunities for multiplayer shenanigans.

For those of you who aren't on Steam but are gamers, you really should be. Especially since today is the last day of their rather spiffy sale.

Oh, damnit. You're now the second person I know to speak highly of Left 4 Dead. I may have to buy it, even though I'm not normally a fan of first person shooters because I suck at them. Why must games be so tempting and shiny?

(Also? Your link? I do not think it leads where you think it leads. Though I managed to find you anyway because I am smrt like that.)

Copy pasta fails, thanks. Have a picture of me when I was 18 instead of a link to my steam account :D

Left4Dead is a lot like all internet team shooters, they depend on your team. But it's good because you get to play as the baddies too in Versus mode. The game-joining menu options are good too, to keep loads of games up and running at once (although you can still access the ordinary server browser through the console). It's worth it if it's in the sale if you don't like shooters too much :D

Ugh, I'll never live that bad link down.

See, that's one of the problems I have. I have this worry that I'm going to be that teammate. You know, the one who hasn't a clue what they're doing, runs off in the wrong direction, and spectacularly manages to get everyone killed be sheer ineptness. It's precisely the same reason I never managed to actually get up the courage to eve try Team Fortress 2 after I bought the Orange Box. Which probably indicates that spending money on another online shooter wouldnt' be the smartest thing I could do.

As for the link, don't worry, I explicitly won't bring it up again to remind you about it at the most embarassing possible moments.

[Prepare for sweeping generalisation] The French are RUBBISH at l4d, it's not possible for anyone to be as bad as them, even if you tried. There's multiple routes around the maps, but as long as you stick together as a team then all is usually well. It's not like you can run out of ammo or pick the wrong weapon or anything :)

It's cool that a game with such simple mechanics can be soo good. Makes me hope a little bit more for the new Aliens game in Feb. Although I'll have to do an uber nerd PC upgrade by then. *Expensive sad face*.

Heh, same, although I would really like to play L4D.

...also, my Steam name is.. Sarianna. Big surprise.
